The use of Learning Provocations in mathematics can spark interest, create wonder and inspire deeper thinking about important math concepts. Whether play or activity-based, Provocations encourage children to build understanding and share their learning with others. Equally, we need to carefully delve into students' thinking to further support their learning. Come and explore how to structure the learning environment to support effective Provocations, unpack misconceptions about play-based learning and explore the role of a Math Talk in developing problem-solving strategies.
